- If you do not have access to the Internet, call 1-800-570-3329 to pay by phone.
For both methods, you will need your Social Security number and banking information. You can pay individual income taxes, individual use tax, and bills received from the Department of Revenue using our e-File Minnesota filing and payment system. With e-File Minnesota, your payment is withdrawn from your bank account through direct debit. We use the latest technology to ensure your information is safe. You can schedule payments in advance or pay at the last minute; you control when money is withdrawn from your account. You can even cancel payments up to one business day before the withdrawal date if needed. Use e-File Minnesota to make:- Income tax return payments,
- Quarterly estimated payments,
- Extension payments,
- Individual use tax payments,
- Payments resulting from amending previously filed returns,
- Payments of tax debts from previous years, and

You can pay your taxes by credit card through Official Payments Corporation, a national company that partners with federal, state and local governments to provide credit and debit card payment services. You will be charged a fee to use this service. The fee goes directly to Official Payments Corporation. The Department of Revenue does not have any financial agreement with Official Payments and does not receive any of its fees. To calculate the fee in advance, use the fee calculator on the Official Payments website.You can make the following payments by credit card either over the Internet or by phone. - Income tax return payments,
- Quarterly estimated payments for income taxes,
- Payments for delinquent tax debts, and
- Payments for debts referred to the Minnesota Department of Revenue.

You will be charged a flat fee of $3.95 to use this service. The fee goes directly to Official Payments Corporation. The Department of Revenue does not have any financial agreement with Official Payments and does not receive any of its fees. To be able to use your debit card, your debit card must be a Visa Consumer Debit card or any card that has an NYCE, Pulse or STAR logo and your payment must be $1,200 or less.You can make the following payments by debit card either over the Internet or by phone. - Income tax return payments,
- Quarterly estimated payments for income taxes,
- Payments for delinquent tax debts, and
- Payments for debts referred to the Minnesota Department of Revenue.

To help ensure your payment is credited correctly to your account, you must complete the appropriate payment voucher depending on the type of payment you are making. If you are paying:- the amount due on your Form M1, complete Form M60,
- individual income tax by the due date when you are filing Form M1 after April 15 (extension payment), complete Form M13,
- individual estimated tax, complete Form M14,
- the amount due on your Form M1X, complete Form M63.
Mail your check and payment voucher to address provided on the voucher. All information on the voucher is required to process your payment.Your check authorizes the department to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account, and you may not receive your canceled check.Back to top
