The Revenue Connection: News for tax preparers
To help keep preparers informed of timely information, the Minnesota Department of Revenue will send its electronic newsletter, The Revenue Connection, to practitioner organizations that, in turn, agree to forward it to their members. The information will also be posted here on our website. Note: You may also choose to subscribe to receive the newsletter directly. The Revenue Connection, which is issued on an “as-needed” basis, will provide:

In addition to The Revenue Connection, the department is offering email addresses just for tax preparer inquiries. Electronic filing For help with technical problems related to electronic filing of the M1 and M1PR, such as: error code reconciliation, transmission failure or registration issues, contact Electronic Information by email at: Efile.prepsupport@state.mn.us or call: 651-556-4818 Individual income tax For questions regarding individual income tax, please send your inquiry to: indinctax.prep@state.mn.us Be sure to include your name, phone number and email address, if different than the return email address. Our goal is to answer all emails within three business days. If your question requires additional research that may go beyond the three-day turnaround goal, we will acknowledge your inquiry and respond as soon as possible.
